We would not have much to the story if all we had was the verbal, the text in the speech bubbles. If we only had verbal the story would not make sense at all. Personally, I feel as though the pictures gave a really strong visual of the emotions the speakers were feeling. An example of it not making sense could be when the man the in blue and the man in the red see each other and say “it’s so nice to see you, i’ve missed you so much” without the visuals you wouldn’t know who was speaking to who and it would just be very confusing and not straight forward due to the different characters speaking at constant times. In this comic, visuals did most of the story telling because there were more pictures that words. With the few words that were given there were more than enough pictures to describe and let you use your imagination to come up with ideas as to what is going on.
